If you are looking at the same thing as me I would say they are Christmas Lights they were not there in August only just arrived in past few days.

They are Christmas lights (3 stars). They are on all the lamp-posts along the pathway around Cucharas beach and on other lamp-posts on the main roads around the resort. They do not come on until just before Christmas - we have been early December and not seen them: we only saw them the time we went the week before Christmas.

Thanks Nicola
