Reviewed by ian, 2009-01-08 let's keep this short and simple.after spending nearly £1,400 on a weeks holiday you would expect something good when we got there.Firstly our fist room was dirty and had some wild life in it(the odd cockroach),not good when you have young children.Secondly the food for us grown up's was average to good,,but for our yong kids the choice for them was pretty poor. Also the dinners in the pool bar wernt brilliant either. The reception staff were pretty numb with our problems which i feel when you dont see your own holiday rep all week they should be able to sort our problems out.On the good side the view from our second room was fantastic looking over the promanade and beach. The resort itself is very good but i feel for an all inclusive holiday we had to venture away from the complex to enjoy our holiday prperly

Not for us
Reviewed by Peter, 2007-10-15 Over the last five years we have stayed at the Lanzarote bay which we also booked for this year. But eight days before we were due to arrive on 4th. october 2007 we were told it was closed from our arrival date to june 2008 and accomodation to the same standard, all inclusive was on offer at this hotel and our rooms had been reserved. We arrived at 11.00pm to check in my daughter and her family were handed there key and went in search of there apartment. My wife, son and myself then checked in to find they had no room for us much to the ammusment of the two male receptionists after about a halfhour they came up with a key for a room with a small plastic fob unlike the larger ones we were seeing,so off we went looking for our room. My wife is a registered invalid and finds it hard to walk, particuly upstairs and a ground floor room is a must which was explained at reception and also in our origional booking thirteen months ago. When we eventually found the room it was on the third floor up narrow stairs. but what was best was the room was already occupied! so of we went to meet the wife downstairs also to see my daughter and grand children in tears saying that the room they had been given was like a building site with tools and paint tins and no beds! Back to reception.utter amusment again by reception staff.
after several attempts romms were finally found. our room 6102 happend to be on the ground. On entering The heat just hit you all the floor tiles had been overlayed ( very poorly ) with wooden laminate flooring, the bathroom had no window or expelair type fan and the bath dirty. Decoration to a poor standard throughout. But after a long day and not the type of people who moan excepted what we had been given. Left cases in room and headed for a much needed drink. Having read all the signs at reception whilst waiting for a room we had noticed that the brandy well pub off reception was open till 1.30 am so in we went only to be met by four lads falling all over the floor on smashed glass and spilt beer, Much to the amusment of bar staff. We got what we wanted showed them our wristbands and went outside with our drinks only to be followed after a while with the barman with a bill for 22 euros telling us the bar even though owned by the hotel was not included in the all inclusive holiday. Food very poor chips on breakfast menu what was left from dinner was smotherd with gravy and put out on next days lunch. Menu very much the same every day hope you like veal and fish. No cold drinks for kids at breakfast no coffee lunch or dinner. Snacks very hard to come by reps full of bull**** telling you anything. The hotel is trying to run a room only half board and all inclusve side by side, it just does not work. Catering staff admitted they cant offer an all inclusive like we are used to at the Bay. Even went as far as admitting reps lying to guests.Location of hotel very good close to beaches and shops etc. Pool bar closed at night for first few days which ment having to walk upstairs and back for drinks.
Might have been strange but after lots of other guests arrived, that should also have been at lanzarote bay the pool bar stayed open till 12pm. Loads of kids running wild but its there holiday to I guess.Just not my idea of an all inclusive holiday. And been ripped of by airtours paying far more than the holiday was worth for this hotel.
Catering and cleaning staff very hard working Hats off to them, Two fingers to the goons in reception who had this uncanny habit of misslaying your passports and blaming you for changing rooms! we actually saw the page in the book at reception and they had booked us down for SEVEN different rooms. No wonder they only found our passports the day before we flew home yesterday 14-10-17.

Not as good
Reviewed by Judy, 2007-08-23 We have stayed in Puerto Tahiche for two consecutive years now andd have just returned from this years hol. Last year we couldnt fault it at all. Not so this year. Ladies on reception struggled to handle amount of work and were sharp and unfriendly. Apartments were not cleaned every day and when they were cleaned the standard was low compared to last year. The cleanliness of the complex was commendable again, but it was VERY noisy at night and the complaints were ignored. Really felt let down this year and will look for somewhere else next year.

Accommodation
Reviewed by Maxine, 2007-06-19 We stayed at this Aparthotel last year, the rooms were clean and tidy and we had clean towels every day. The position is excellent with the beach literally over the road. The pools were cleaned daily and although we spent the majority of the time on the beach, did spend some quality time around the pool too. Overall excellent accommodation if you are just looking for somewhere to rest you weary head after a hard day sunbathing. We would stay there again (and will be doing in 3 weeks).
