Another lovely holiday.
Reviewed by Linda, 2010-09-02

We had a morning flight to Costa Teguise, arrived at hotel, had photos taken for all inclusive, got all nice apartments, and were ready for our meal. It was great being able to eat as much as you wanted for a change. The weather was spot on, and we all enjoyed the pool. It was our third stay at Los Zocos, we love the place so much, its like home from home to us. We had 2 lovely weeks there, and are hoping to go again in 2011. All the staff there remembered us from our previous stays, and were pleased to see us again, we even madw some new friends, and have some lovely photos to look back on. Thank you all again for yet another great holiday with you all, best regards, from Linda Burnett and family xx.

A Fantastic Holiday!

We holidayed in Costa Tequise at the end of Oct/beg of Nov & stayed at the Los Zoccos in a self-catering apartment. We had a wonderful time & I would recommend both the resort & apartments to anyone but especially those with young children. We went with a 2 year old & the place was ideal for her. The rooms had everything we needed, were very clean & we found staff friendly. Our daughter loved the baby pool! Unable to comment on the food as we ate out every night - lovely resturants (we didn't have one bad meal) & found the resort ideal for families. We're booking again for next year!

Went to Los Zocos expecting confortable, if basic, accommodation and a reasonable all inclusive package for the money paid. Found the beds unsleepable and the rooms unbearably hot. The food was lacking in variety with hot food frequently served lukewarm and cold food tepid. The food at El Boulevard was better but still repetitive and you had to be in the hotel at 10:00 on the morning you wanted to eat there in order to book a table - not very practical if you were out and about. The beer at the bars was warm and not particularly good. The entertainment programme was poor at the Aquamarine bar. We have never been on an all-inclusive holiday before and, after our experience at Los Zocos, are unlikely to choose all inclusive again. Will not be returning to Los Zocos but the island was lovley and well worth a second visit at a better hotel.

Slightly dissapointed

We received a warm and friendly welcome in the Los Zocos Reception area (which looks lovely, with parque floor and glass stained ceiling.)

The apartment was about 200m from reception, which we found acceptable. It was quite close to the pools, which we found handy. We were unhappy to find that the kitchen was pretty poorly equipped (self-catering guests) and that most of the kitchenware was very dirty, still had dried food on them etc, which put us off pretty quickly. We also had no bowls for the first two days. Finally, after our initial complaints, a maid brought some to our apartment. The electric oven was an abomination, and completely crap.

We probably wasted 30Euros on food that didn't cook properly in that thing.

The apartment was generally clean but we spotted a huge food splatter up one of the walls that continued up the ceiling, and an abundance of lose sockets hanging out of the wall in the living room (the tv socket), I am sure it would have killed a child if they had touched it - I have taken pictures and will be posting them online for people to see as despite complaining, no engineer came out to fix it.

We were a couple staying in the resort, but as it is a family resort you can imagine the possible outcome. We were staying in a 1st floor appt, which had an excellent balcony - it gave very nice views, and the entrance to the appt at the back had a great view of one of the mountains. The Pools are nicely designed and are very cold but, I wasn't expecting heated pools outdoors - why would anyone?..

The El Mirador restaurant/buffet food was DELICIOUS but very pricey for lunch. The Aquamarine bar was good, drinks are cheap enough and the 'family entertainment' was pretty good. We did enjoy ourselves in there a few nights, and its great for families.

We think that this is a strictly average resort that needs to perk up its awareness of hazards and hygiene - doing so will greatly improve people's initial impressions of the place.

But, we did enjoy our time staying in Los Zocos, the weather was 28-30C every day, people were well behaved and the germans didn't take the sunbeds every single day ;)

3/5.

When we arrived we wer put in a first floor apartment , we just slept there the first night and the next morning my daddy went round and they moved us straight away up to the 3rd floor. We just ate in differnt resturants every night. Pool was great altough in febuary its absoutley freezing. I'd recommend Los Zocas to any body !

We stayed at Los Zocos in eptember last year. We had a total of 3 rooms, one 2 bedroomed apartment and 2, 1 bedroom apartments, all on the ground floor as requested. The apartments were all clean and spacious, and the maid service was excellent, she came every day, and was very thorough. We stayed only for 7 nights, which really was nt long enough for us, as we loved the whole complex and the beach etc. We have booked again for Los Zocos, this time for 11 nights, we are due to fly out on October 18th, and return on October 29th, we can t wait. We ve booked again with First Choice- Thomson in their Stockport shop, all the girls and boys there know us, and give us great holiday deals. Los Zocos, is like home from home to us, I suppose its not to some other peoples tastes, but you never know what anywheres like until you go and see for yourselves, as we did, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone at Los Zocos, and we will be seeing you soon.

Love teguise, its so peaceful. Zocos was ok but then again,we only slept there. The beaches are so nice, why sit around the hotel pool day in day out? Reception staff really miserable, didnt see one smile. Never ate at Zocos so cant comment on the food but theres loads of great places to eat just up the road. Try the chinese, its great and youlle be stuffed.
Were going back again this year to Teguise cos we love it so much but were not bothering with Zocos, it wasnt bad but wasnt up to much either.

Nothing too bad,nothing too good!

Clean and tidy rooms and public areas.Dire entertainment.Staff friendly apart from those on reception who thought they were doing you a favour.Food good and plenty of it served in what can only be described as a canteen.
Verdict:No grounds for complaint but could be much better.
