Choose between the beaches that I have shortlisted ?

Hi, I am planning to stay in Lanzarote, either at a) COSTA TEGUISE OR b) Somewhere in Puerto del Carmen (havent decided upon the place yet). I would be travelling in mid-April. My choice would mainly be guided by the fact as to how close the beach is (and it has to be a white sands beach) and I also want to avoid crowded beaches. Please suggest as to what would be the best palce to live. thanks, Debanjan

Hi i am going to c.t. in two weeks time and im staying an a villa that is in (isla de lobo) can anybody tell me if we are near any bars/restaurants) and how far to the beach. thanks Martin

just want to say, we arrived back from playa blanca and we had a fantastic holiday there and can certainly recommend it! the weather was gorgeous we had 7 days of hot sunshine,the breeze makes it more bearable! its the first time we had been abroad this time of year (got back early hours this morning 26th oct) and we prefer it to going in the summer hols!! loads of great places to eat and drink, totally chilled out place no mither from anyone, we stayed at sun park apartments and all i will say is never again, reception staff are quite ignorant only one person on reception was really nice and welcoming but she was hardly there(shame)not really catered for us english, rooms are good actually but beware of the hot water it is dangerously scalding hot!!!!!!!!!! i had to make sure my two young ones didnt use the taps on their own, i wouldnt go back there anyway, but you dont know till you try do you? playa dorada beach is beautiful and the sea so warm and crystal clear, all in all playa blanca is a beautiful place and a must to visit definately one of our favourites cant wait to return there.

I was wondering if you can get to Papagayo beach from costa teguise without hiring a car!is there a bus you can catch or how much would a taxi cost and would it pick you up again? Any help much appreciated...

Coming in Lanza, Costa Teguisa in 2 weeks with my husband.As i don't like the swimming pools i'd like to know how is the sea for swiming and where is the best place for swimming.Thanks a lot!!! Corina
