Choose between the beaches that I have shortlisted ?

Hi, I am planning to stay in Lanzarote, either at a) COSTA TEGUISE OR b) Somewhere in Puerto del Carmen (havent decided upon the place yet). I would be travelling in mid-April. My choice would mainly be guided by the fact as to how close the beach is (and it has to be a white sands beach) and I also want to avoid crowded beaches. Please suggest as to what would be the best palce to live. thanks, Debanjan

Have just booked Christmas week in Lanzarote for 2007. Has anyone any info on what will be open in Puerto del Carmen on Christmas day and boxing day? Is it possible to get the family a Christmas dinner somewhere?

Off to the Cinco Plaza Appartments [PDC]in 2 weeks time. I would dearly love to hear from anyone who has stayed there. Was it clean and safe? What facilities are there in the hotel? Whats the entertainment on site like? Difficult to get sunbeds? Do they exchange travellers cheques etc? Are the staff freindly and efficient? Just about any useful information would be appreciated.
